Just 40 minutes from Lisbon, Lagoa de Albufeira offers the most beginner-friendly conditions on the Portuguese coast — flat water, sheltered from the wind, and a soft sandy bottom. It’s where we’ve been teaching Stand Up Paddle for over 15 years.

Whether it’s your first time on a board or you want to refine your technique, our SUP lessons are designed to make you stand up, balance, and paddle with confidence from day one.

My friend and I hadn’t kayaked in awhile and it took us awhile to get the hang of it, but he was so helpful in coaching us through the trip. I was driven to the location by Roggi (my spelling may be wrong) he got us there safely also offering fun facts along the way which was a pleasant experience for so early in the morning. Afonso was our kayak guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable, very grateful we got him as a guide as he gave us the best service, fun facts, great conversation, and wonderful experiences while also making sure it was documented for us to look back on. Gabriel took us back to drop off zone, he got us there safely and very appreciative of that and everyone who made my Portugal experience worthwhile!!!

The kayaking with Luís was more than looking into sea caves and looking at marine life, but about the history and way of life of the locals.
